Centralised power supply systems are designed for buildings subject to fire safety regulations They comply with EN 50171.
The CPSS are designed chiefly to supply emergency lighting in the event of a failure in the normal power supply, but can also be used to supply other emergency systems, for example:
• automatic fire extinguishing installations,
• emergency detection and warning units,
• smoke extraction equipment,
• carbon monoxide detection systems,
• specific safety installations in sensitive areas.
COMPLIES WITH STANDARDS
The EMergency EM range has been developed in compliance with European standards. The product is defined as a “Central Supply System” running on AC current under 1000 V and employing batteries as a backup power source
Using a centralised power supply system
• reduces installation costs
• simplifies mandatory periodic test operations
• eliminates the drawbacks caused by thermal stress on back-up batteries located in high places
• reduces the cost of your investment
• reduces operational costs (long-term reliability).
Emergency : improved RELIABILITY
The battery is a vital part of Backup Power Supply systems.
The innovative battery charging feature offered by SOCOMEC UPS provides optimum service life by reducing the effects of temperature and corrosion of the plates.
ADVANTAGES
• centralised power source EN 50171
• on line double conversion technology (VFI-SS-111)
• supply to leading loads up to PF 0.9 without de-rating the active power.
• high capacity batteries with a 10 year life
• batteries with two independent and redundant branches
• battery inspection by automatic and manual testing
• control panel with graphic display.
• LAN interface (Ethernet)
• RS 232/ 485 serial interface
• dry contacts interface
OPERATING MODES

NET VISION
SNMP – Web manager
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
• T-SERVICE, remote diagnostics functions with automatic sending of report and alarms via e-mail to the local authorised Socomec UPS Service Centre
• SNMP /HTTP agent for easy control of remote stations
• JNC (Java&.NET TM Shutdown Client) optional.
ADVANTAGES
EASY CONNECTION TO THE NETWORK
To be able to monitor and interact with the UPS from any PC equipped with an Internet Browser, just make a connection with NET VISION between the UPS and your company´s network. The UPS can then be managed like any other network peripheral.
ERGONOMIC USER INTERFACE: WEB BROWSER
The graphic menu interface has been designed to make the use of NET VISION “user-friendly”. With a simple click of the mouse the user can obtain information on the operating status, configuration, history log and back up time of his UPS
MONITORING VIA JAVA™ APPLET
NET VISION provides a JAVA applet to show the status of the UPS through dynamic graphics.
This applet can display the most important UPS parameters and measurements in “real time.
INDEPENDENT FROM OPERATING SYSTEMS
The information of a UPS equipped with NET VISION can be accessed from any Workstation or Server, all independently from the Operating System being used.
REMOTE MANAGEMENT: SNMP – HTML – TELNET
This important feature ensures optimal compatibility with all operating platforms, thanks to the use of SNMP, the widespread communication protocol. For ease of consultation and programming, NET VISION uses a common HTML interface that can be displayed with any last generation web browser. An IP address can thus be assigned to the UPS so that it can also be managed remotely.
BASIC PRINCIPLE
NET VISION processes the information from the UPS and makes it available by means of standard computer network protocols (SNMP, HTTP, etc.). This information from the UPS available via the network allows the network administrator to take the necessary measures on verifying any critical events. Moreover, in the case of special events, automatic procedures such as the automatic shutdown of the PCs/servers connected in the network can be activated.
